Summary

Bleached cotton bandana (33.7 g) was soda-ash soaked for 30 minutes, then rolled tightly from center on a corkboard with reverse-rolled ends and approximately five fishing-line tie points. In a milk-jug gravity rig, 10 g Plum Blossom and 8 g Rust Brown were dusted over approximately four solo-cup scoops of ice added in two stages (2:35 pm and 3:33 pm), with soda ash sprinkled alongside the dye powder; Black was also included in the formula, and the piece ran through a roughly 8-hour ice-melt cycle targeting completion around 10:30 pm. The result was rated not good despite reading as bright and very saturated — the colors landed but the overall outcome did not meet expectations. No usable photo documentation was captured for this sample. Revisit the resist structure and possibly the Black component's application to better control the final colorway.
